Behind the Designs
I'm Jess, the creator behind Rising Trail Prints. I've lived in New Hampshire my whole life, and the mountains, lakes, and forests here shape so much of how I see the world- and what I end up designing.
I live in the Lakes Region with my husband and our two kids, and the outdoors is part of my everyday rhythm. Some ideas come from long hikes, some from quick walks near the water, and some from moments that just stick with you- light through the trees, quiet winter mornings, familiar trails revisited time and time again.
Rising Trail Prints started as a creative outlet and has grown into a small business where I design nature-inspired home decor, paper goods, and personal pieces meant to feel calm, meaningful, and connected to the environment. Every design begins with something real and personal, then gets thoughtfully turned into something you can use, gift, or live with.
Most items are available through my Etsy shop, where orders are produced and shipped through trusted partners so I can focus on design, detail, and the ideas behind each piece. This website is a companion space- where I share inspiration, new releases, reflections, and what's coming next.

I took this photo at the top of Bald Peak in New Hampshire after noticing a small puddle had frozen into these quiet, swirling patterns. The ice looks like it was shaped by a light breeze as it froze- nothing planned, just nature doing its thing. I was drawn to how calm and fluid it felt, even in the cold. That natural swirl became the starting point for several digital designs, which I later used on a pillow, a candle, and a journal- each one carrying a little piece of that moment on the trail.
